KAMLOOPS — With a much needed boost in confidence after two wins in Prince George, the Blazers are back on the bus for two in the U.S. this weekend —- Spokane tomorrow and Tri-Cities Saturday.

“I think the big thing is we figured out how hard it is to win in this league” says defenceman Joe Gatenby,   “I thought the guys brought an extra level of compete that we maybe did’nt have before.”

Adds coach Don Hay “Ferguson he played really well —  the play of Chyzowski, Nick played a really standout game, along with Pilon — when the young players see that leadership is there they become more conficent.”

“Having good leaders like Chyzowski and stuff — they give you that confidence to want to go out there and work as hard as them” says rookie Connor Zary, who had two goals and an assist in the two wins against Prince George.

Third year forward Quinn Benjafield “To get that first WHL win out of the way, it’s a lot happier in the room — everybody is a bit more relaxed — not squeezing their stick too much — it’s good to see.”

After the two games in the U.S. Division this weekend the Blazers are back home to host Everett on October 27.
