KAMLOOPS — Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra did’nt waste anytime getting Kelly Olynyk into the lineup.

Olynyk started in his Heat debut and the first game of the NBA season, a 116-109 Miami loss to Orlando.

He showed glimpses of what the Heat were looking for when they signed him to a 4-year, $50-million contract as a free agent from Boston in the off season.

Olynyk shot 3-of-7 from the field and hit his only three pointer in two attempts to finish the night with 10 points, five rebounds and three assists in 21 minutes playing time.
