KELOWNA — The body of a woman discovered in a Kelowna orchard, who police say was a homicide victim, has been identified.

23-year-old Russia Nicholson of West Kelowna was found in an orchard on Cooper Road Oct 11th.

Mounties believe she knew her attacker and was not a random victim.

Police are now seeking more information about her last days, and whether any businesses or home owners have video of her vehicle — a white four door 2010 Ford Fusion — from Oct. 11 between 1 am and 9 am.

“RCMP are asking the public to come forward to police, as investigators work to establish a time line of the hours and moments that lead up to Russia’s death,” says RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.

Nicholson’s vehicle was recovered on Collison Road and had damage to the front bumper and rear passenger window.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Cst. Nicole Shuttleworth of the Kelowna RCMP Serious Crimes Unit at 250-470-6395.
