KAMLOOPS — Gusty winds are  affecting flights at the Kamloops Airport this afternoon.

In a tweet YKA advises travellers “to and from the airport to check with their airline for the latest flight information.”

On its website, the airport shows one Air Canada Express flight to Calgary has already been cancelled and a Westjet flight has been delayed. Another Westjet flight from Calgary has been delayed as well.

Earlier today, Environment Canada issued a weather statement warning residents for a wide area of the BC Interior, including the South Thompson, that gusty winds could reach 70-80 kilometres per hour tomorrow afternoon.
