KAMLOOPS — Today (October 15) marks Pregnancy and Loss Remembrance Day.

The global event is aimed to provide support, education, and awareness for those who have suffered a miscarriage, an ectopic pregnancy, a still birth, or the loss of an infant.

In Kamloops a walk is scheduled to take place in Riverside Park to bring together mothers, fathers, and family members who have experienced the pain of loss.

“Having that connection in the community is so important,” said Organizer Michelle Ikwumonu. who has experienced the loss of pregnancy. “Having that common thread and being able to share your story was a huge part of my healing.”
