KAMLOOPS — It’s back to business as usual at Kamloops School of the Arts after some tense moments Tuesday afternoon.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie of Kamloops RCMP says the school enacted its “hold and secure” security protocol for about 15 minutes.

A “hold and secure” situation is not as urgent as a lockdown, and involves all doors being secured and administrators monitoring closely who approaches the main set of doors.

Students continued in their classes as normal.
