KAMLOOPS — The first of three days of advanced voting for the Kamloops by-election takes place tomorrow.

More voting days take place Thursday, September 21 and Wednesday, September 27 ahead of the general voting day on September 30.

Advanced voting will be held at Heritage House on Lorne Street, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day.

Electoral Officer Cindy Kennedy says only certain people may cast a ballot.

"Any resident of Kamloops that's been a resident for 30 days at least, 18 years of age, a resident of BC for six months and you must be a Canadian citizen," said Kennedy.

"There are a lot of names on the ballot. You will be able to select one mayor candidate and up to two councillors."

Voters are asked to bring two pieces of identification, with one bearing the voter's signature and one showing the voter's home address.
