KAMLOOPS — Sunday's Terry Fox Run at Riverside Park in Kamloops raised around $7,000.

That's down significantly from the roughly $20,000 raised last year, says run organizer Rod Keetch.

"A small team made a very significant contribution last year, so the funds we collected on site were on par with last year but a big online effort by a single, small group was not replicated."

Despite the drop, Keetch is still pleased with the amount of money raised.

"It was great to see a lot of people out at the park (around 200) and $7,000 is a lot more money than they had two days ago."

All funds raised will go to the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research.
