KAMLOOPS — This is the last weekend of the exhibition schedule in the Western Hockey League.

The Blazers are in Prince George for their last game of the pre-season.

A game that should provide some answers to some of the roster decisions before the beginning of the regular season next weekend.

The Blazers are 1-and-3 in the pre-season.

Coach Don Hay says “I think right now you’re looking for work ethic, you’re looking for the structure you see in practice”

The 1-and-3 record is a little deceiving, “Every game we’ve outshot teams…we haven’t been outplayed in any game…it’s a process as long as you’re doing the right things.”

Last season the Blazers went with one sixteen year old in Jackson Shepard.

They still have two on the roster, “Connor Zary is a 16 year old that we have to make a decision on….Quinn Schmiemann is another young 16 year old…. we have to continue to evaluate them.

17 year old Max Palaga and 19 year old Kyle Dumba are battling for the backup job in goal behind Dylan Ferguson, who is still at the Vegas Golden Knights camp.

Hay says “we’re going to keep those two guys until we see Fergies eyes back here.”
