KAMLOOPS — More evacuation orders will be lifted Saturday as the wildfire season winds down.

While the Elephant Hill wildfire remains just 60 per cent contained, it hasn’t experienced any significant growth in several days.

As of 2:00 p.m. Saturday, a Thompson-Nicola Regional District evacuation order applying to 13 properties around Pressy Lake, Little Pressy Lake, Hihium Lake and Young Lake will be lifted.

Before that, residents are invited to a public meeting at the 70 Mile House Community Hall to go over information about returning home after an extended evacuation.
