Evacuation alert lifted for 70 Mile House and homes west of Hwy 97/99 Junction

70 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — The TNRD says significant progress has been on the Elephant Hill wildfire allowing officials to lift the evacuation alert properties in 70 Mile House.

Properties and areas west of Highway 97 at the Highway 99 Junction have also been given the all clear.

In addition to these areas being rescinded, the TNRD says some properties in the Hutchison Lake area have been downgraded from an evacuation order to an alert.

These include:

• 4415 Clinton-Loon Lake FSR 6000 French Road
• 1350 to 1791 Hutchison Rd
• 1420 to 1475 Janzen Terrace
• 1410 to 1490 Thibert Road
• 2253 Hutchison Road
