Blazers sign 16-year old goaltender

KAMLOOPS —  The Kamloops Blazers have signed 2001-born goaltender Rayce Ramsay to a standard WHL player agreement. 

Ramsay was listed by the Blazers in November of 2016. The 5’11” and 165lb Saskatoon native played Midget AAA with the Saskatoon Contacts last season.
 

“Rayce had a very strong camp,” commented Director of Player Personnel, Matt Recchi. “He is a competitive goaltender with good feet and hands. We look forward to watching him develop this upcoming season.”

The 16-year-old was 12-10-0-0 in 23 games last season with the Contacts. He also had a 2.65 goals against average and a .923 save percentage. He will play the 2017-18 season with the Contacts.
