Kamloops — Six people are behind bars following a drug bust at a south shore Kamloops hotel.

Kamloops RCMP Supt. Brad Mueller says police made the arrests Aug. 25 following the execution of two search warrants.

A wide range of drugs were seized including cocaine, heroin, meth, crack cocaine and Xanax. Over $18,000 in cash was also recovered.

Mueller says at least two of the suspects have connections to the Red Scorpions gang though no names were released pending Crown charges.

He calls the bust significant in nature noting the drug dealing was netting approximately $5,000 a day. All suspects are from Kamloops except one male who is from Vancouver.

All are scheduled to appear in court at an undetermined date in the near future.
