Hometown Hockey coming to Williams Lake and Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Two years after a hugely successful Hockey Day in Canada, Rogers Hometown Hockey is coming to Kamloops in January.

Hometown hockey is a two day festival of live entertainment, local celebrities, NHL alumni and activities for the entire family.

A Saturday and Sunday that concludes with an outdoor viewing party of an NHL game and hosted by Ron MacLean and Tara Slone.

Three of the 24 cross country Hometown Hockey weekends will be in B.C. —- two right here in the central interior.

The first in Williams Lake the weekend of January 6 and 7 with the Sportsnet telecast on the 7th featuring the Vancouver Canucks against the Canadiens in Montreal.

A week later the 13th and 14th it’s the second of the B.C. stops in Kamloops —- with outdoor viewing of the Vancouver Canucks at Minnesota Wild game.

The third B.C. stop will be in Cowichan Valley January 21.
