100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — There’s been a doctor boost in the Central and South Cariboo.

Laurie Walters with the Central Interior Rural Division says three new physicians have been recruited to 100 Mile House this year.

Four new physicians have also been hired in Williams Lake through the CIRD’s healthcare recruitment and retention program.

Walters says the CIRD’s ‘Tick Tock Find us a Doc’ campaign has raised 30-thousand in community sponsorship in the effort to recruit more doctors.
