Power restored to southwest Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — UDPATE: The power has been restored.

EARLIER:

BC Hydro service remains out for more than 1,000 customers in southwest Kamloops, and it could be until this evening before it is back on.

The outage affects primarily the Pineview Valley and Versatile areas, as well as parts of Aberdeen and Sahali.

Power was initially out to nearly 3500 customers, but part of that total has seen power restored.
