KAMLOOPS — Fire crews reacted quickly last night after a campfire got out of control near the trail at Pioneer Park.

The fire was apparently started by a homeless person but got away and into the bushes near the trail.

Flames were up to 12 feet high for a short time, but KFR Platoon Captain Dave Ferguson says crews got it out pretty quickly once they arrived on scene.
