Kamloops by-election ballot set

KAMLOOPS — The ballot is set for the September 30 City of Kamloops by-election.

After the 4:00 p.m. August 25 deadline passed, there were six candidates confirmed for the mayor's chair, and 22 for the two open city councillor spots.

There will three advance voting days ahead of the September 30 general voting day.

Advance voting will be held September 20, 21 and 27 at Heritage House.

The by-election became necessary after the resignations of Mayor Peter Milobar (elected as MLA), Councillor Marg Spina (health) and Councillor Ken Christian (running for mayor).
