KAMLOOPS — Today's the day we'll find out exactly who is running in the September 30th civic byelection.

Papers have to be filed at City Hall by end of business today.

Four mayoral candidates had filed their papers when we checked yesterday. They included Ken Christian, Bill McQuarrie, Stu Holland and Todd McLeod.

A couple of high profile council candidates still hadn't filed when we checked, one of them was Gerald Watson. He says he has since filed.

Watson says he wanted to make sure he was still ready  to make the move after announcing his candidacy several weeks ago.

He said he had a bit of a health issue and wanted to make sure it wouldn't affect his ability to do the job. But the long-time school trustee says everything is fine and he's now filed his papers.
