Man facing impaired driving charges after North Shore accident

KAMLOOPS — One man taken to hospital after being hit by a pickup truck last night on the North Shore.

Staff Sergeant Ed Preto of the RCMP says the pickup was turning left, from 12th onto Tranquille about 10:15 last night, when the driver struck a 37-year old man who was crossing northbound at the crosswalk.

The victim was tossed several metres by the impact. He suffered cuts and bruises, but was transported to RIH with non life-threatening injuries.
