Blazers goalie camp begins, Kyle Dumba ready to push

KAMLOOPS — The Blazers opened a three day goaltending camp today ahead of the start of rookie camp on Friday and main camp Sunday.

There are six goaltenders at the mini camp —- three 15 and 16 year old prospects, local hopeful Max Palaga, incumbent Dylan Ferguson and 19-year old newcomer,  but Western Hockey League veteran Kyle Dumba.

Dumba was acquire in a trade with the Calgary Hitmen August 1.

He was in net for Calgary in a game last December that turned into a goaltending dual with Dylan Ferguson.
