Crash near 103 Mile House takes one life

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — One person died at the scene of a crash on Highway 97 near 103 Mile House yesterday morning.

The victim was a passenger in the back seat of a southbound vehicle, hit by a southbound pickup, while stopped in the travel portion of the highway to avoid a potential collision with two bears.

All other occupants of both vehicles suffered injuries ranging from minor to serious.

RCMP continue to investigate.
