KAMLOOPS — The TNRD has lifted the evacuation order for all but a handful of Monte Lake area properties.

The BC Wildfire Service says the Martin Mountain fire is now 70 per cent contained.

Fire crews say they’ve seen vast improvement on the blaze in recent few days with it still measuring 150 hectares.

The only properties remaining under ORDER are:

  • 4120 Kristianson Road
  • 4121 Kristianson Road
  • 4205 Kristianson Road
  • 4225 Kristianson Road
  • 4249 Kristianson Road
  • 4265 Paxton Valley Road

All other properties are now under an Evacuation alert and residents are safe to return home.

While at least one home was destroyed in the Martin Mountain fire, the TNRD isn’t commenting on further damage until they’re able to be on site.

For a full list of the properties now under Evacuation Alert, go to the TNRD website and view the Martin Mountain Fire page.

Some properties previously under Order or Alert that are no longer on either the Order or Alerts lists that are posted on the tnrd.ca website are considered to be “all clear”.
