KAMLOOPS — It wasn't really a fair fight.

A semi trailer beat up on some power poles this morning in Valleyview.

The  semi trailer got tangled up in some B.C. Hydro lines on the frontage road in Valleyview early this morning, causing traffic disruptions along the road and some loss of Hydro.

Platoon Captain Shawn Davidson says crews were called out about 4:15 this morning to a call about power lines being down.

Apparently a semi had clipped three power poles, knocking transformers and power lines to the ground.

RCMP cordoned off the area, Hydro shut the power off, and KFR crews assisted in ensuring public safety.

As of 8:45 this morning, power was still off in the immediate area for half a dozen customers. No injuries in the incident.
