TOJLL final even after two games

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Venom scored just 2 goals on Wednesday night, and allowed 12 in a 12-2 loss on the road as the Vernon Tigers tied the Best-of-5 TOJLL Final 1-1.
Vernon lead 4-0 after 20 minutes, and 9-1 Tigers into the third. Kamloops trailed 6-0 in the second period before Riley Peterson’s sixth of the series, the Kamloops captain had five goals in Game 1. Quinn Williamson had the other Venom goal, making the score 11-2 in the final frame.
Vernon outshot Kamloops 47-44. The Tigers lead 20-11 on the shot clock after the first, Kamloops outshot Vernon 20-12 in the second, and the Tigers lead 15-13 on the shot clock in the third. Matt Hans suffered the loss in goal, the Venom had just one goaltender in uniform as Ethan Milobar played the game as a runner.
Vernon scored four power-play goals on Wednesday night.
Game 3 of the Best-of-5 series is set for Friday, July 21st at Memorial Arena in Kamloops. 
Game 4 will be Sunday, July 23rd at Kal Tire Place in Vernon. And, Game 5 (if necessary) will go Tuesday, July 25th in Kamloops at Memorial Arena.
Each game of the TOJLL Final is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm.

Both the Venom and the Tigers have already qualified for the Provincial Tournament which Vernon will host from August 4th till 7th, including the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island championship teams.
