KAMLOOPS — Smoke caused problems for planes flying in and out of Kamloops this morning.

Several flights were cancelled at Kamloops Airport this morning, both by Westjet and Air Canada Express.

The ceiling is too low for safe runway operations, leading to the cancellation of three departures and one arrival.

By late morning, all subsequent arrivals and departures were on schedule.

If you have flights planned for today, or are planning to meet people at the airport, check the airport website or check with your airline before heading out.
