New evacuation alert issued Sunday night for Clearwater area

CLEARWATER —One new alert was issued last night for the Clearwater area.

The alert largely affects properties to the north of the community.

The complete list can be seen below but includes addresses on Birch Drive, Boundary Road, the Clearwater Airport Access Road, Grouse Creek Road, Trout Creek Road and several others in that immediate area.

Electoral Area “A” (Wells Gray Country) Upper Clearwater

EVACUATION ALERT

An evacuation alert has been issued by the Thompson-Nicola Regional District.

There is a wildfire in the Clearwater area and the wildfire poses an imminent threat to people and property. Due to the potential danger to life and health, the Thompson-Nicola Regional District has issued an Evacuation Alert for the areas identified on the attached map, including the following properties north of the District of Clearwater:

• 815, 824 Birch Dr

• 6704, 6705, 6740 Boundary Rd

• 1080, 1120, 1140 Candle Creek Rd

• 252 Clearwater Airport Access Rd

• 1528 to 6664 Clearwater Valley Rd

• 6288, 6532, 6584 Corral Rd

• 600 to 644 Grouse Creek Rd

• 600 to 612 Moul Creek Rd

• 440 Nakiska Rd

• 5944 to 6177 Trout Creek Rd

• 1197 Barber Rd

An evacuation alert has been issued to prepare you to evacuate your premises and property should it be found necessary. Residents will be given as much advance warning as possible prior to the evacuation; however you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.
