ASHCROFT, B.C. — The Ashcroft Reserve wildfire continues to burn out of control.

BC Chief Fire Information Officer Kevin Skrepnek says the fire saw explosive growth Friday night and is now measuring 14,700 hectares.

He says it continues to burn away from Cache Creek.

“The fire is continuing to be quite active today,” said Skrepnek. “The growth has been all on the north-length of the fire so the opposite direction of Cache Creek.”
