Kamloops RCMP investigating violent attack, stabbing

KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops man is in Royal Inland Hospital recovering from a serious stab wound today.

RCMP say the violent attack happened at about 5:30 this morning.

The 31 year old victim of the stabbing made it to the RIH emergency department himself, and his injury is considered serious but not life-threatening.

Officers investigated around an apartment block at First Avenue and Columbia Street early this morning, but have yet to identify a suspect.

RCMP believe the incident was isolated, and there is no current risk to the public.
