KAMLOOPS — The TNRD is urging residents and businesses wanting to donate supplies to wildfire evacuees to hold off for the time being.

Information Officer Debbie Sell says they're currently working with the Red Cross to put together a plan on what supplies are needed.

She says they hope to have it ready later this afternoon.

"At that point we'll be able to give people further instructions on where they can bring donations and in terms of what types of donations will be accepted," said Sell.  "We're getting lots of offers which is fabulous but right now it's just a matter of coordinating them."

There's no direct phone number to the Emerency Reception Centre at McArthur Island Park.

Sell says people needing to contact an evacuee can call the main Emergency Operation Centre line at 1-866-377-7188.
