Truck driver succumbs to injuries following crash near Blue River

BLUE RIVER, B.C. — A scary crash near Blue River more than a week ago has turned tragic.

RCMP say early on the morning of Saturday, June 24, a northbound transport truck left the road near Gamble Creek, hitting a concrete barrier and rock face.

The 57 year old driver, a man from the Lower Mainland, was taken to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops with serious injuries.

Police say the man died in hospital yesterday.

While an RCMP collision reconstruction expert conducted an investigation at the scene, police say they are still looking for witnesses.
