KAMLOOPS — The Blazers won't be getting their first round pick from the 2016 bantam draft in the coming season --- if ever!

16-year old forward Massimo Rizzo has decided to play for the Penticton Vees in the B.C. Hockey League.

Blazers brass met with Rizzo last week hoping to convince him to make the step up to the Western League in 2017-18.

But he's decided to keep his college options open, and will play junior "A" next season.

Rizzo had 84 points in 48 games with the Burnaby Winter Club midget prep team last season.

He joined the Penticton Vees late in the season and was held scoreless in three regular season games, while scoring 3 goals and 4 assists in 18 playoff games.
