SALMON ARM, B.C. — A 31 year old Burnaby man is dead following an accident yesterday on the Seymour Main Forest Service Road at Seymour Arm on the Shuswap.

Constable Gord Sauer of the Chase RCMP says in a news release they were called to the single vehicle crash at the 38 kilometer marker yesterday afternoon. When they arrived, police determined four occupants were in a vehicle that left the road and rolled down an embankment, coming to rest against some trees.

The victim was deceased in the vehicle. The other three occupants were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Sauer says statements from witnesses at the scene have led them to believe that alcohol and speed may have been factors in the crash. No names have been released.
