KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops wildfire danger rating is now high.

Justine Hunse, Fire Information Officer with BC Wildfire Service, says the rating was changed from moderate to high over the weekend due to hotter and drier conditions in all areas surrounding the city.

Clearwater and Lytton are also under a high danger rating.

Hunse says campfires are still allowed as long as they’re no more than .5 metres high by .5 metres wide.
