KAMLOOPS — A proposed date has come forward for the Kamloops council by-election.

City staff are recommending the vote be held on Saturday, September 30.

Staff will also ask council to approve a budget of $120,000 to put on the vote.

Kamloops voters will choose replacements for Mayor Peter Milobar and Councillors Marg Spina and Ken Christian.

Milobar and Spina have already submitted their resignations, and they are effective June 30.

Christian has also said he will resign to seek the mayor's chair.
