Defending champ wins Overlander Srs. Golf

KAMLOOPS — Chairman Jack Croucher and his committee put on another hugely successful Overlander Senior Men’s golf tournament at Rivershore, with 96 players for the 31st annual edition of the tournament.

Last years winner is this years winner.

Defending champion John Gallacher from Vancouver shot rounds of 69 and 73 to finish at 2-under par.

After the front 9 today in round two Gallacher was 7-under.

Doug Roxburgh from Marine Drive finished second, seven shots back.

Two Rivershore golfers were in the top five —- Greg Jackson with a two round 151 and Shawn Walton at 153.

In the super seniors for 70-plus Lance McGregor from Delta led wire-to-wire with a two round 155 to finish five shots ahead of Larry Haddock, with Rivershores Bob Esdale third.

Low net honours went to Vic Turcott with a net 139.
