KAMLOOPS — Police are teaming up with the Kamloops-Thompson School District, Phoenix Centre and Interior Chemical Dependency Office to educate parents about drug use and harm reduction.

The agencies will present a free information session on the issue next week.

Panel discussions will be headed up by those four agencies, as well as Tk'emlups Te Secwepemc, Qwemstin Health Society, Child & Youth Mental Health and C&C Resources for Life.

The event will also include a full hour on information about naloxone, the drug that has been essential in reversing the effects of opioid overdoses.

The information evening will take place next Tuesday, June 27, beginning at 6pm at the Henry Grube Education Centre on the North Shore.
