KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops says the odor detected in the city tap water does not pose a health risk.

The city received numerous complaints regarding the odor this week.

Jenn Fretz, Director of Public Works, says the city and Interior Health conducted a series of tests over the last few days.

Fretz says test results came out clean with no reason for concern.

"We did get the sample results back and we have done a full sweep of testing with all parameters and everything came back completely clean," said Fretz.

The cause of the odor is still unknown.
