Kayaker gets into trouble off Riverside Park

KAMLOOPS — A kayaker got into a bit of trouble last night on the river near Riverside Park.
The kayaker flipped over and had trouble getting righted again.
Emergency crews were called in but by the time police arrived, the kayaker had been able to rectify the situation and was okay.
Emergency officials reminding people that the river’s rising creates more than the normal undertows on the Thompson, and anyone out on the water needs to be extra cautious.
