KAMLOOPS — BC Hydro says help is on the way for those still without power after Tuesday night's windstorm hit the BC Interior.

Spokesman Dag Sharman says crews have worked non-stop to repair hundreds of small outages.

"It's been a heck of a battle, but they've made great progress. They worked through the night the last couple of nights and are now down to 3,838 customers who are without power as I speak. Most of those are in the 100 Mile House area, some in the Clearwater area as well," said Sharman.

Sharman says a windstorm like this is that it does damage in a lot of different spots, all that need individual attention.

He adds private contractors have been called in to assist BC Hydro crews in getting power back up to all the utility's customers.
