SUN PEAKS —  Police have taken a 36 year old Kamloops prolific offender off the streets after a crime spree in Kamloops and Sun Peaks over the weekend.

In a news release, Staff Sergeant Doug Aird says rural RCMP were called to Sun Peaks Saturday about 4:00 AM for a suspicious person apparently canvassing the area.

A bandana found at the scene was similar to one worn by a man caught on surveillance footage in Kamloops earlier in the morning.

The man was seen getting into a vehicle and leaving.
