Summer slowdown: Coquihalla construction to cause delays

KAMLOOPS — The provincial Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is warning the public that the Coquihalla Highway won't all be smooth sailing this summer.

According to the ministry, two major construction projects will result in delays between Merritt and Hope starting Tuesday, May 23rd.

Resurfacing on the Dry Gulch Bridge will start, and work to enlarge the Box Canyon chain-up area 30 kilometres north of Hope will continue.

Northbound lanes of Coquihalla now open- Southbound to open at approx. 0830
