Crash backs up traffic on Highway 5 North

KAMLOOPS — UPDATE: RCMP say the crash site is now clear.

 

EARLIER: A two-vehicle crash is causing backups on the Yellowhead Highway through the Tk’emlups reserve this morning.

Kamloops RCMP say the crash took place at the intersection of Highway 5 and Chief Louis Way.

The crash has closed at least one lane northbound, and RCMP traffic is backing up at least 500 metres.

Police ask motorists to avoid the area if possible.
