Accident causes power outage in Westsyde and parts of Tk’emlups Resereve

KAMLOOPS — Power is back on to 2000 B.C. Hydro customers after an outage this morning caused by an accident.

The power outage affected parts of Westsyde and parts of the Tk’emlups band lands.

Power went off about 4:30 AM and was restored just before 7:00 AM.

No indication on the accident and how serious it was.

More expected from the RCMP later this morning. 

 

PREVIOUS — An accident has created a significant power outage in the Westsyde Road and and parts of the Tk’emlups Reserve this morning.

No details on the accident at this time, but power is out to almost 2000 customers.

Power went off around 4:30 this morning.

There are two areas affected, one is south of Highway 5, east of Westsyde Road and northwest of Paul Lake Road.

The other pocket is northwest of Highway 5, and southeast of Westsyde Road.

No indication at this time when power might be back on.
