KAMLOOPS, B.C. — An early morning house fire in the Aberdeen area is being deemed suspicious.

According to Kamloops RCMP Staff Sergeant Robert Daly, police and Kamloops Fire Rescue received report of a house fire in the 1300 block of Dunbar Road at around 5 a.m.

Daly says the two people living inside the home were able to escape without injury.

The home suffered significant fire damage though RCMP couldn't provide details on what area of the home was hit the hardest.

"We can't give many details due to the fact we're collecting evidence," said Daly. "Right now crews are trying to determine how exactly the fire moved through the house."

RCMP and fire crews spent most of Sunday morning collecting evidence in and around the home.
