TAPPEN, B.C. — RCMP have identified the man who is missing and presumed dead after a landslide near Tappen Saturday.

He is 76 year old Roy Frederick Sharp.

The man was last seen inside his home along Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road.

That area was hit by a mudslide Saturday night, and Sharp has been unaccounted for since.

According to RCMP, search crews including technicians with Shuswap Search and Rescue have been on site through the weekend, and although they were able to find the destroyed home and debris field, they could not find Sharp himself.
