KAMLOOPS — CFJC-TV, B-100 and 98.3 CIFM have been recognized with the BC SPCA Media Excellence Award.

At a ceremony in Richmond last Friday (May 5), our stations were recognized for dedication and commitment to animal welfare issues in Kamloops and surrounding areas.

For the past 25 years, CFJC has covered a variety of animal-related stories and fundraising campaigns and has highlighted animals available for adoption through Midday and the Evening News 'Pet of the Week' feature.

B-100 is a major sponsor of two fundraising events: the annual 'Furball' and the 'Paws for a Cause Walk.'

The presentation was part of the society's annual awards ceremony.
