Special Olympics B.C. receives $10,000 from Sun Life in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — The Special Olympic B.C. Summer Games are three months away, and in the lead-up to the July Games in Kamloops, Special Olympics B.C. is receiving a funding boost. 

The organization accepted a $10,000 cheque on Thursday from the Sun Life Financial Group locally, money that'll be put towards funding athletes coming to the Games. 

The B.C. Summer Games are July 6-8 in Kamloops. It'll be the largest ever provincial games with more than 1,300 athletes taking part.
