KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP have arrested a suspect after a brazen daytime bank robbery Tuesday (April 11).

At about 2:30 p.m., a man walked into the CIBC branch at Third Avenue and Victoria Street, handing the teller a note with a demand for cash.

While the man made off with some cash, investigators soon identified a suspect and arrested a 21 year old man.

Cpl. Cheryl Bush says police are trying to determine whether this incident was connected to another recent business heist.

"The investigations into this incident and the robbery at the Howard Johnson Inn from the evening of April 10 both remain ongoing at this time to determine if they are related," said Bush.

Bush adds the suspect in the bank robbery is known to police and will have a court appearance Wednesday to answer to charges.
