KAMLOOPS — Disc golf, or frisbee golf as it's otherwise called, is a sport that requires precision and accuracy. The game is played in about 40 countries around the world, and just like golf, the purpose is to put the disc in the basket in the fewest number of throws.
In Kamloops, it's a niche sport that's been steadily growing in popularity with three disc golf courses in the city, helping to develop the game.
This weekend, the Kamloops Disc Golf Club is hosting a tournament, the first stop on the Doomsday Discovery Tour, and it's welcomed to everyone, even first-timers.
